Why Water Security Can’t Wait
For thousands of years, civilizations thrived by building water infrastructure. Today, those same aqueducts and pipelines are no match for modern hydrogeology. Droughts, floods, and shifting rainfall patterns have revealed cracks in our system. Without clean, reliable water, communities cannot build housing, grow food, or sustain public health.
At Cadiz, we believe access to clean water isn’t just infrastructure — it’s justice. And now is the time to act.
“When children carry two or three bottles of water in their backpacks because there’s no running water at school — that’s when you pay attention.”

Empowered by Innovation
You might not think of the Mojave Desert as a solution to water scarcity — but beneath its surface lies a renewable supply of 30 to 50 million acre-feet of water. Cadiz has harnessed innovation to responsibly identify, store, and deliver this vital resource.
- NASA satellite imaging first revealed the desert’s abundant groundwater.
- Natural aquifer system recharges with snowmelt from the surrounding mountains, innovative groundwater management preserves clean water that would otherwise evaporate.
- Repurposed pipelines, once used for oil and gas, are now being adapted to move water where it’s needed — without creating new corridors.
